Internationally acclaimed Teatro Lirico D’Europa will delight us
with a beautiful and traditional version of Puccini’s Madama
Butterfly. The company boasts a full symphonic orchestra and
international artists that are all seasoned professionals
with dazzling costumes and sets shipped from Europe.
The heartbreaking opera, set in the early 1900’s in
Nagasaki, Japan, has Lieutenant Pinkerton of the U.S.
Navy marrying a naive 15-year old Japanese geisha in
a staged wedding ceremony while secretly planning to
marry an American woman as soon as he returns to the
U.S. Join us and get absorbed in this tragic story infused
with Puccini’s lovely music and beautifully presented
by this prestigious company.
